How To Prepare Files for Upload

IMPORTANT:

  • Please rename all files to include your company and/or project ID in the file name, (e.g. CLIENT_filename.jpg).
  • If the file is for a specific part of the job, please also rename the file for the pertinant section (e.g. CLIENT_SEGMENT_filename.jpg)
  • To streamline the upload you may wish to compress large files or multiple files into a single ZIP file (using Compressed Zipped Folders.) The ability to create ZIP files is baked into Windows XP, Vista and 7.

How to create a Zipped Folder in Windows:

  1. Navigate to the FIRST (or only) file that you want to send to us
  2. Right click and choose "Send To"
  3. From the list that appears choose "Compressed Zipped Folder." *
  4. The folder will appear next to the original file, with the name highlighted for renaming.
  5. Give the folder a new name including your company name and job ID (see above).
  6. If you want to add more files to the upload, simply drag/drop those files onto the zip folder.  (Max file size is 1GB.  If you need to send more, please create additional zip files, or deliver on disk or Flash media.)
  7. (Optional:  Double-click the zipped folder to see the contents.)
  8. Log in and upload the file. (See instructions after logging in.)

To create a ZIP file on a Mac, you may need 3rd party software such as www.winzip.com or www.stuffit.com.  (Note: we only accept ZIP files. Please do not send any other type of compressed archive.)

*If you installed WinZip or other 3rd party compression software to your machine, you will not see this option - even if the 3rd party software has been uninstalled. Use the 3rd party software instead or see this link. If you installed the trial version of 3rd party compression software and it has expired, you will need to purchase the retail version to legally use it.
